International Literature Festival Dublin 2026

Author Pim Wangtechawat made her European literary festival debut at the International Literature Festival Dublin, taking part in a series of events celebrating contemporary fiction, creative writing, and literary conversation.

As part of the festival programme, Wangtechawat appeared in conversation with acclaimed Irish novelist Sarah Gilmartin, discussing their latest novels, I Dreamed of You and Little Vanities. Together, they explored the themes that underpin their work, the craft of writing emotionally resonant fiction, and the experiences of creating stories rooted in place, identity, and human relationships. The discussion also offered audiences an insight into each author's creative process and the journey behind their most recent novels.

Alongside her festival appearance, Wangtechawat led a creative writing workshop, Life Writing, welcoming participants of all ages and levels of experience. Through a series of free-writing exercises and reflective prompts, the workshop encouraged writers to draw on their own observations, memories, and emotions to discover new ideas and develop their creative confidence. Designed to be an open and supportive space, the session emphasised experimentation, self-expression, and the joy of writing without fear of imperfection.

Wangtechawat's participation at the International Literature Festival Dublin marked an important milestone in her international career, introducing her work to Irish audiences and celebrating the power of storytelling to connect readers and writers across cultures.
